Due to our expanding O.E.M. demands (manufacturing for other companies) we are no longer able to keep up with both that and our retail obligations. As of September 1st we are no longer accepting retail orders through our website. We have a couple customers who are willing to expand their inventory to include more of our original product line, and they will also accept custom orders for product. All orders placed with Clearwater Custom Tackle are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Payment: All orders must be pre-paid unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept checks, money orders & cashiers checks. Checks from new accounts will need to clear our bank before we ship your order. At this time we do not accept credit cards, but we do accept PayPal. Net 15 terms may be offered to customers who have demonstrated a good payment record during the prior year.  Shipments are made F.O.B. Rathdrum, Idaho. Past due customers will not be shipped merchandise until their account is current and the past due amount will be charged 18% interest. Accounts are payable in U.S. funds only.

Minimum Order: Our minimums per product type are as follows:

  • Hand Pours: 500 pieces per color
  • Tubes: 1,000 per single color or 2,000 per 2-color
  • Jigs: 1,000 per hook size and hook style

We have the right to refuse any order that does not meet our minimum quantities. When an order is within 10% +/- of the ordered amount we will consider it a full order. All of our products are manufactured to order so plan accordingly for your inventory needs.

Federal Excise Tax: Federal Excise Tax applies to articles of sport fishing equipment that are designed or constructed for the use in the sport of fishing. Therefore, component items purchased from Clearwater Custom Tackle are subject to a 10% Federal Excise Tax. Exemption from this tax requires the customer to have an I.R.S. approved form #637 on file in our office. This form can be obtained from your local I.R.S. office.

Samples: Samples are available to verified manufacturers upon request at no charge. A minimum sample charge of $5.00 will be made on all new accounts that have not been verified. Please include your remittance with your request for samples. If costs exceed $5.00, an additional billing will be made to cover the actual costs.

Returned goods: A minimum restocking charge of 10% will be made on any goods returned in their original condition. No returns are allowed on custom orders and no returns will be accepted without prior approval. Returns will not be accepted after 30 days from invoice date.

Custom Molds: You need to send us a finished plug (master) for us to build molds from. All custom mold work requires 50% payment in advance. We will send you a product sample from the master mold for your approval. Once we get written approval we will manufacture the rest of the molds. We build silicone molds due to the economy they afford and plan on needing 50-100 cavities minimum for any serious production.

Patents: When placing an order for a custom lure design, the purchaser warrants that the finished article is not and will not be an infringement of any valid patents or trademarks, and the purchaser further agrees, at his own expense, to defend any and all actions and suits which may be brought against Clearwater Custom Tackle charging such infringement.
